Mise-en-scene

   I decided to comment on the mise-en-scene of the show Stanger things. I decided to write about this show because it is one of my favorite shows right now and the way this television series is executed is amazing. It is unbelievable how well the crew of stranger things are able to create 80's outfits, 80's stores, and a all around 80's atmosphere.  I would like to focus on their most recent season, season 3. In season 3 there is the most use of Mise-en-scene because not only are they showing the school but the season also focuses on their local mall. The setting of the mall makes me feel like I'm living in the 80's with their 80's wardrobe and 80's hairstyles. The set has those 80's neon bright colors and they even used old posters and old cash registers like they really went back in time. Even the actors belonging in the show relate to the 80's like the old cars and 80's decoration in the mall stores. Throughout the season the mall has a high key lighting from all the joy and happiness from the fun times at the mall. But the final episode of the season the mall has a Low key lighting from the intense monster chase and destruction happening inside the mall. I like the lighting switch from bright and happy, to dark and gloomy when the kids started fighting the monster. Even the acting is great like when the characters are talking about there favorite video games! They are showing excitement about a game from the 80's that they have never actually played before, but their great acting is making me think that they grew up with these old school games. With the great setting, wardrobe, and acting, if someone were to tell me that Stranger Things was actually filmed in the 80's I would believe it.

Beginning to Edit Week 2

  This week my partners Weatherby and Michael continued to edit our film opener on adobe premier pro and started to completely finish our editing for our first draft. This week I continued editing the film opener and had the clips in order , I did most of the work at home. This week was much harder because as I added more things to the workspace the program became slower and would freeze causing what would normally take a minute to take 5. Since I had all the clips in order to make the film opener flow smoother I decided to add transitions in certain spots. I mostly used the default transition with a bit of a zoom transition and nothing fancy because it would make the film seem like it had too much going on. The last major thing I did was add the two Free music soundtracks I selected before I created the project. 10 video Shots

This shot is a choker shot of my dog Zoe. One of the best models to work with. This shot is an extreme close up of my dogs paw. This shot was difficult because she did not want me touching her.  This shot is a full shot that captures her whole body. She is also posing on her favorite pillow.  This is an eye level shot of Zoe staring off in the distance. This is a high angle shot of my dog Zoe. I like this shot because I was able to film it without her knowing.  This is a P.O.V. shot of me rubbing on my dog. She probably enjoyed this shot the most. This is an over the shoulder shot. This is one of my favorite shots to see in movies.  This is a tight shot of Zoe since her whole body takes up the frame. This is a Low angle shot of Zoe. She looks the most like a rat on this angle. This final shot is a Medium-Long shot of my dog Zoe. You can see her whole body and the bed she is on.
